Fill out Forms Automatically using Chrome
You can save time filling out forms by using Chrome Autofill, which fills in online forms for you.
After filling out a form, you may see a prompt to save the information. If you want Chrome to add the info to Autofill, click Save.
COMPUTER
Add and edit email addresses, phone numbers, and other info
When you save an address, Autofill may include any of the following information with the address:
- Name
- Organization
- Street address, including city, state or province, ZIP code, and country
- Phone number
- Email address
You can add, change, or delete your information at any time:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
- At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
- Under "Passwords and forms," click Manage Autofill settings.
- Add, edit, or delete an address:
- To add an address, click Add new street address.
- To edit an address, point to the address and click Edit.
- To delete an address, point to the address and click Delete Close.
Note: If an address is saved in Google Payments, you can't delete it from Autofill. To change or delete the address, click
Edit and sign in. Then, make your changes in
Google Payments.
Add and edit credit cards
You can save time entering your purchase information by saving credit cards to Chrome Autofill.
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
- At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
- Under "Passwords and forms," click Manage Autofill settings.
- Add, edit, or delete a credit card:
- To add a credit card, click Add new credit card.
- To edit a credit card, point to the entry and click Edit.
- To delete a credit card, point to the entry and click Delete Close.
If you're signed into Chrome, cards and addresses saved in Google Payments will also show up in forms. Learn more about adding cards to Payments.
Note: If a credit card is saved in Google Payments, go to payments.google.com to manage your credit card.
Use an autofilled credit card to buy online
When you’re paying for something online, the credit cards you’ve saved in Chrome and Google Payments will show up in a dropdown list.
If you don't see Autofill suggestions when filling out a form, the website might not be secure enough to use Autofill.

Verify your credit card to make a purchase
After choosing a card, you might be asked to enter the CVC number. You get two chances to enter the right CVC number. After two tries, you’ll have to wait before trying again.
If you don't want Chrome to have to verify your card every time, turn off verification:
- When filling out a form, choose the credit card you want to use from the Autofill suggestions.
- When prompted, enter the CVC number. (It's usually on the back of your credit card. On American Express cards, it’s on the front.)
- Check "Keep a copy of this card on this device."
- Click Verify.
Save credit cards to Autofill & Google Payments
If you're signed into Chrome, cards and addresses saved in Google Payments will show up as Autofill suggestions.
By default, cards saved to Autofill are also saved to Google Payments.
To stop saving credit cards from Autofill to Payments, turn off the sync option. Your payment information will still be stored in Chrome.
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
- At the top, click Advanced sync settings.
- Uncheck "Credit cards and addresses using Google Payments."
- Click OK.
Delete information from Autofill
If you're filling out a form and you see an Autofill suggestion, you can delete it on the page.
- In the dropdown, use your keyboard's arrow keys to select the Autofill suggestion.
- Delete it:
- Windows: Press Shift + Delete.
- Mac: Press Shift + fn + Delete.
You can also remove entries from your Autofill settings:
Delete a specific Autofill entry
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
- At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
- Under "Passwords and forms," click Manage Autofill settings.
- Point to the entry and click Delete Close.
Note: If an entry is saved in Google Payments, you can't delete it from Autofill. To change or delete the entry, click Edit and sign in. Then, make your changes in Google Payments.
Clear all your Autofill entries
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More.
- Click More tools and then Clear browsing data.
- In the box that appears, at the top, choose a time period to clear data. To clear everything, choose "the beginning of time."
- Check "Autofill form data." Check or uncheck other data types you want to delete or not.
- Click Clear browsing data.
Turn off Autofill
If you don’t want to see saved personal information every time you fill out a form, you can turn Autofill off.
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More More and then Settings.
- At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
- Under "Passwords and forms," uncheck "Enable Autofill to fill out web forms in a single click."
To turn Autofill back on, check the box again.

ANDROID

- To edit a credit card, tap on the credit card. When you're done changing your info, at the bottom, tap Save.
- To delete a credit card, tap on the credit card. At the bottom, tap Delete.

Save credit cards to Autofill & Google Payments

Delete information from Autofill

Delete a specific Autofill entry

- At the top right, tap More More.
- Tap Settings and then Autofill forms.
- Tap the entry you want to delete.
- At the bottom, tap Delete.
Clear all your Autofill entries
- Open the Chrome app Chrome app.
- At the top right, tap More More.
- Tap Settings.
- Under "Advanced," tap Privacy.
- Tap Clear browsing data.
- At the top, choose a time period to clear data. To clear everything, choose "beginning of time."
- Check "Autofill form data." You can check or uncheck other data types if you want to clear them or not.
- Tap Clear data.
Turn off Autofill
If you don’t want to see saved personal information every time you fill out a form, you can turn Autofill off.
- Open the Chrome app Chrome app.
- At the top right, tap More More.
- Tap Settings and then Autofill forms.
- At the top, tap the slider to the off position.
To turn Autofill back on, tap the slider back into the on position.
IPHONE & IPAD
Edit email addresses, phone numbers, and other info
When you save an address, Autofill may include any of the following information with the address:
- Name
- Organization

- To edit a credit card, tap on the credit card. At the top right, tap Edit. When you're done changing your info, at the top right, tap Done.
- To delete a credit card, at the top right, tap Edit. Select the credit card, and tap Delete. Tap Done.

- Open the Chrome app Chrome app.
- At the top right, tap More More.
- Tap Settings and then Autofill forms.
- Uncheck "Show addresses and credit cards from Google Payments."
Delete information from Autofill
You can remove entries from your Autofill settings:
Delete a specific Autofill entry
- Open the Chrome app Chrome app.
- At the top right, tap More More.
- Tap Settings and then Autofill forms.
- At the top right, tap Edit.
- Check the entry you want to delete.
- At the bottom, tap Delete.
Note: If an entry is saved in Google Payments, you can't delete it from Autofill. To change or delete the entry, tap Edit and sign in. Then, make your changes in Google Payments.
Clear all your Autofill entries
- Open the Chrome app Chrome app.
- At the top right, tap More More and then Settings.
- Under "Advanced," tap Privacy.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data.
- Tap to check "Autofill Data." Uncheck all the other items.
- Tap Clear Browsing Data.
- Confirm by tapping Clear Browsing Data.
- At the top right, tap Done.
Turn off Autofill
If you don’t want to see saved personal information every time you fill out a form, you can turn Autofill off.
- Open the Chrome app Chrome app.
- At the top right, tap More More.
- Tap Settings and then Autofill forms.
- At the top, tap the slider to the off position.
To turn Autofill back on, tap the slider back to the on position.
