Advertiser live streaming

Every cool new community feature on YouTube involves a certain level of trust. Streaming live content is an exciting space that YouTube is entering with some of our most valued partners, but with that comes a degree of accountability. We trust you to be responsible, and millions of our users respect that trust. We've outlined best practices, below, surrounding live stream content on our site, and expect that you will make a best faith effort to comply with these guidelines.

  • Advertiser, promoter and/or production company is responsible for securing and ensuring they have all necessary rights (e.g. public performance, music licensing rights, and other publicity rights) to legally broadcast the live stream on YouTube.
  • There is a 30 second animation limit for live streams running in a homepage masthead. The user can click the ad unit to view the whole live stream within an expanded masthead, or click through to a brand channel or external site. Any exceptions to the 30 second rule need to be approved by the YouTube Policy Team.
  • The audio in a live stream happening in a masthead needs to be user-initiated.
  • Content in live stream must adhere to our Community Guidelines.
  • Promoter and/or producer must make a good faith effort to monitor the live stream under our Community Guidelines, including, among other things:

How to Use a Custom Domain in blogspot

Use a custom domain

There are two ways you can publish your blog on Blogger - either by hosting it on Blogspot (example.blogspot.com) or hosting on your own custom domain (www.example.com or foo.example.com). You can change where your blog is published at any time, and it won't cause you to lose any content on your site.

Step 1: Purchase a custom domain

Before you move your blog to a custom domain, you need to have already purchased a custom domain from another provider.

There are many companies you can buy domain names from, including:

  • EasyDNS
  • GoDaddy.com
  • ix web hosting
  • 1and1
  • Aabaco Small Business from Yahoo!
  • No-IP

Tip: If you're in the United States, you can also integrate Google Domains with Blogger.

If your site's content is in a different language and you'd like to purchase a country-specific domain, you can do a search to find local registrars. For example, if your blog is in French and you'd like a www.example.fr domain, try searching for [domain registrar in france].

Step 2: Set up your domain with your blog

Use a top-level domain
After you've purchased your custom domain, follow the steps below:
  • Go to your blog and click on Basics under the Settings tab. In the "Publishing" section, click the link to add a custom domain.
  • Type the url of the domain you've purchased, keeping in mind that it must begin with www in order to work.
  • Click Save.
  • You should see an error, and two CNAMEs listed below. Each CNAME is composed of two parts - Name, Label or Host and Destination, Target or Points to. The first CNAME is the same for everyone, Name being "www" and Destination "ghs.google.com." The second CNAME is particular to your blog and your Google Account, and is therefore different for each person.
  • Go to your domain registrar's website and locate the DNS (Domain Name System) settings in the control panel.
  • Now it's time to enter the CNAMEs. Where it says Name, Label or Host simply enter "www" and list ghs.google.com as the Destination, Target or Points to.
  • Now enter the second CNAME in the same way.
  • Optional: You can also enter A-records, which links your naked domain (example.com) to an actual site (www.example.com). If you skip this step, visitors who leave off the "www" will see an error page.
  • Optional continued: After completing Step 8, enter your domain name in the format example.com, and list the I.P. addresses shown below in the "A" section. You'll need to create four separate A-records which point to four different Google IPs.
  • 216.239.32.21
  • 216.239.34.21
  • 216.239.36.21
  • 216.239.38.21
  • End of optional section
  • Before you move onto the final step, wait about an hour for your DNS settings to activate. If you attempt the final step before your settings are activated, we'll let you know with a warning message.
  • After your settings have been activated, you need to make sure Blogger knows about your custom domain so that Google can direct readers to your blog. Just head back to Blogger and update the information on your Settings | Basic tab. Find the area for "Publishing," and click the link to add a custom domain.
  • Enter in the URL for your custom domain in the text box provided, and click Save.
  • Enter URL and save
  • That’s it! Your blogspot.com address will soon redirect to your new custom domain -- be patient, as it might take up to 24 hours for the redirect to start working. If you're still seeing an error after 24 hours, it means your settings weren't entered correctly and you should try the process a second time.

read this :  How to Get started with Blogger
Some helpful notes:
  • If your new domain isn't taking you to your blog, wait another day or two to make sure all the DNS servers have been updated. If it still isn't working, contact your registrar to make sure you entered the DNS settings correctly.
  • Your original Blogspot address will automatically forward to your new domain. That way, any existing links or bookmarks to your site will still work.
  • Your posted images will continue to display on your blog.

Use a subdomain
After you've purchased your custom domain, follow the steps below:
  • Go to your blog and click on Basics under the Settings tab. In the "Publishing" section, click the link to add a custom domain.
  • Type a subdomain like blog. then the url of the domain you've purchased.
Where it says Name, Label or Host, simply enter the subdomain name (for example, blog.) and list ghs.google.com as the Destination, Target or Points to.
  • Now enter the second CNAME in the same way.
  • Some helpful notes:
  • If your new domain isn't taking you to your blog, wait another day or two to make sure all the DNS servers have been updated. If it still isn't working, contact your registrar to make sure you entered the DNS settings correctly.
  • Your original Blogspot address will automatically forward to your new domain. That way, any existing links or bookmarks to your site will still work.
  • Your posted images will continue to display on your blog.

Troubleshoot issues

If at any point the setup process doesn't allow you to progress any further, there may be an issue with your domain's DNS configuration. Please inspect your DNS settings via your domain host, correct any potential configuration errors, and try again.

Additional Advertising on YouTube Kids

Additional Advertising on YouTube Kids

All advertisements sold in the YouTube Kids app must comply with the additional advertising policies outlined below, as well as YouTube’s general advertising policies. YouTube Kids advertising policies may evolve over time. We encourage you to check back often to read the latest updates. All YouTube Kids Paid Ads must be pre-approved by YouTube’s policy team prior to being served in the YouTube Kids app. Additionally, advertisers must also comply with applicable laws and regulations (including any relevant self-regulatory or industry guidelines). You can read more about our ad format requirements below.

What is a Paid Ad in YouTube Kids?

To provide an experience free of charge, YouTube Kids is ad-supported with limited advertising. When you select a YouTube video in the app, you may see an ad bumper followed by a video ad- marked with an "Ad" disclaimer- before the video you selected. These are paid advertisements ("Paid Ads").

Content uploaded by users to their channels are not considered Paid Ads. For example, a search for "trains" could result in a TV commercial for toy trains uploaded by a user or a toy train company, none of which are Paid Ads. Likewise a search for "chocolate" can show a user-uploaded video on making chocolate fudge even though we do not allow paid advertising for chocolatiers.

Ad Format Requirements

  • Format: At this time we only accept the in-stream video ad format in YouTube Kids.
  • Maximum time length: 15 seconds for non-skippable and 60 seconds for skippable. This excludes the 3 second ad bumper that may play before the Paid Ad.
  • Destination URLs: Destination URLs and outbound links (including call-to-action overlays and infocards) are disabled from the app. Ads in YouTube Kids will not be clickable.
  • Site-served: All Paid Ads must be hosted on YouTube. Third-party served ads are prohibited.

Ad Targeting and Data Collection

  • We prohibit interest-based advertising in YouTube Kids.
  • Paid Ads with remarketing or other tracking pixels are prohibited.

How to Choose Homescreen video categories

At the top of YouTube Kids, you’ll see icons for video content by category:

  • Shows includes kid-friendly programming from popular YouTube creators.
  • Music includes songs to sing and dance along to, including nursery rhymes, popular music videos for kids, and clips from their favorite musicals.
  • Learning includes everything from ABCs and 123s to science lessons and language arts so children can engage, grow and learn.
  • Explore includes content that helps your child discover the world around them, develop new hobbies, and explore topics they’re interested in.

The app selects the videos in these categories from the millions of videos available in YouTube Kids using our algorithms plus some human review.

If your child has watched multiple videos in the YouTube Kids app, your child may see recommended videos in these four categories as well as an additional   Recommended videos category that contains recommendations based on viewing and search history. This category may also include Watch it again videos. Learn more about Recommended videos and Watch it again.

source link : see detail

Recommended videos

YouTube Kids gets better with every video watched. When your child has watched multiple videos in the app, the app may recommend videos in the homescreen and show the Recommended icon.

  • Recommended videos include videos based on watch and search history. They are drawn from all the videos accessible from YouTube Kids and selected by our algorithm without human review.
  • You can reset Recommended videos by clearing watch and search history in parental settings.
  • If you pause search and watch history in parental settings, the app will stop using videos you watch or terms you search, while history is paused, as signals for Recommended videos.
  • The app will automatically reset Recommended videos by clearing watch and search history every time you turn Search off. With Search off, Recommended videos will be based only on the videos watched since the time Search was turned off. Whether Search is on or off, however, recommended videos are selected from the broad set of videos accessible from YouTube Kids.

We’ve taken a number of precautions to ensure that families using YouTube Kids will see videos that are appropriate for younger audiences. We screen Recommended content using a mix of automated analysis and user input, and we are continuously making improvements based on new technology, research, and user feedback. Please remember, YouTube handles tremendous breadth, depth and scale of content -- so while we work hard to get it right, sometimes your child may find content in the app that you may not want them to watch.  If this happens, you can notify YouTube by flagging the video.

Videos in YouTube Kids

We’ve built the YouTube Kids app to be a family-friendly place for kids to explore their imagination and curiosity. Videos available in the app are determined by a mix of algorithmic filtering, user input and human review. Videos in YouTube Kids can be discovered in three ways. Some videos are pre-selected, while others are discovered by your child through search. The app can also recommend videos to your child based on what your child has watched. The pre-selected content goes through an additional level of quality control through some human review. Search and Recommended videos are selected by our algorithm without human review. Though our system has been tuned and tested rigorously, no algorithm is perfect, and even a perfect algorithm would not replace a parent’s judgement. This means that it’s possible that your child may find content in the app that you may not want your child to watch. If this happens, you can notify YouTube by flagging the video.  We use these flags to improve the app.

For a more restricted experience, you can turn search off, allowing your child access only to pre-selected content. Turning search off reduces the chance of your child finding content you don’t want them to watch.

We also will remove videos from the YouTube Kids app where the creator has notified us of a paid product placement or endorsement in their video through YouTube’s paid product placement and endorsement notification tools.
